National Mesothelioma Day 2011
The event took place at Glasgow City Chambers with the opening address being given by Baillie Catherine McMasters. This event provided patients and carers with an opportunity to learn more about their condition and the treatment options available to them.
Clydeside Action on Asbestos Annual General Meeting
CAA became a company limited by guarantee with charitable status and CAA members formally elected a new board of directors and office bearers.
Workers’ Memorial Day
CAA commemorated Workers’ Memorial Day by hosting a ceremony at Provand’s Lordship Garden, Glasgow.
Ayrshire Support Group Open Day
To highlight our presence in the area, we hosted an ‘open day’ on Wednesday 26th January 2011. The event was well attended by trade union officials, Cllr Philip Saxton, Provost Winifred Sloane and other local councillors across the political parties all of whom pledged their support.
Glasgow Self Management Day
This event was held to promote self management for those suffering from long term asbestos related disease in the Glasgow area.
