The UK government is facing increasing pressure to assess the risk of asbestos in schools following a landmark legal victory for the family of a woman who died after “low-level” exposure as a secondary school pupil.
Damages (Scotland) Bill Passed by MSPs
The Damages (Scotland) Bill, introduced by Bill Butler MSP, improves rights to damages in respect of personal injuries and wrongful death. CAA was present at the Scottish Parliament to see the Bill Passed unanimously by MSP’s.
Ayrshire Support Group Open Day
To highlight our presence in the area, we hosted an ‘open day’ on Wednesday 26th January 2011. The event was well attended by trade union officials, Cllr Philip Saxton, Provost Winifred Sloane and other local councillors across the political parties all of whom pledged their support.
