Clydeside Action on Asbestos sponsor first Scottish nurse to deal with ALL asbestos-related conditions & other work-related respiratory disease

Clydeside Action on Asbestos is to fund a nurse dedicated to helping patients who have work related lung conditions caused through no fault of their own. The new nursing post is the first in Scotland to be specifically targeted at people who are living with the effects of being exposed to substances such as asbestos, and will make a significant difference to how people manage their illness.

Thompsons Solicitors Landmark Legal Victory

This decision is important for all of those workers who have suffered injury and death from exposure to dust and fumes in the workplace many years ago. This decision confirms that Scots law recognises that the duty on the employer is to prevent the giving off of dust and fumes at source in order to properly protect their workers.

Glasgow Remembers Victims of Asbestos Exposure

Friends and family will gather today to remember their loved ones who died from an asbestos-related condition. The memorial, organised by Clydeside Action on Asbestos, provides a place where people can come along and spend some time reflecting on their own memories, and on the toll of the widespread use of asbestos in Scotland.
