Clydeside Action on Asbestos is launching the support group following an increase in enquiries from across the area. The group will be launched in Motherwell tomorrow (Friday) and will then meet on a monthly basis. It is one of eight support groups running across Scotland.

Clydeside Action on Asbestos were delighted to accept an offer to give a presentation on asbestos related issues to GP’s who have practices in the North Lanarkshire area. The presentation was attended by approximately 20 General Practitioners and MCN (Managed Clinical Networks) members.

I will be running in memory of my grandfather Harry who died from the most aggressive cancer caused by asbestos, mesothelioma. Harry was exposed to asbestos while working in the Shipbuilding Industry on The Clyde

Once again I will be supporting CAA Clydeside Action on Asbestos, this is the first time the Charity has been represented at the London Marathon & I am proud to be able to not only raise money on their behalf
