Thank you to everyone who shared our post and voted for us. We are delighted to say thanks to you, our great supporters, we have been informed that we have been chosen as one of the 10 charities to have been recognised by the Glasgow Times.
Our charity had recently submitted an application to the Glasgow Times for a share of £16,000. Only 10 charities were selected to receive a portion of the £16,000 and I am delighted to tell you that Action on Asbestos is one of them. What we are asking you to do is to buy a Glasgow Times, cut out the token and send it to us here at Action on Asbestos. All tokens sent to us will count as a nomination for Action on Asbestos. Please send as many tokens to us as possible (245 High Street Glasgow G4 0QR); the more tokens we get, the more money we will receive from the £16,000.
Please ask your family and friends to do this. The money we receive will be put towards the cost of engaging a “singing coach” as the charity is in the process of starting up a choir to help improve the breathing of our guys who have an asbestos-related disease. Please try and get family and friends involved.
