We fund the first specialist nurse in Scotland to deal with all asbestos-related conditions
Action on Asbestos fund a nurse dedicated to helping patients who have work-related lung conditions caused by no fault of their own. The new nursing post is the first in Scotland to be specifically targeted at people who are living with the effects of being exposed to substances such as asbestos and will make a significant difference to how people manage their illness.
We fund Continuing Professional Development (CPD) support for nurses in Scotland
Scotland’s nurses are to benefit from a new fund that has been launched by Action on Asbestos (CAA). The charity has been able to launch the fund following a donation from Dr Michael Crawford in memory of his late wife, Dr Audrey Finnegan Crawford, who died as a result of mesothelioma in 2013. The fund will be named after Audrey: Dr Audrey Finnegan Crawford Memorial Fund
